A Single Chip Microcontroller is called AVR MicroController. This was developed originally in the year 1996. This is one of the Earliest user types of on-chip flash memory for program storage as against ROM, EPROM or EEPROM Microcontrollers.
The AVR MicroController is again a modified architecture device where program and data are stored in separate physical memory systems. These systems appear in different spaces. AVR MicroControllers are classified as tiny AVR, megaAVR & XMEGA series.
